The 'Proms' season is upon us, and we in Rushden pride ourselves on a very popular evening's entertainment with our own 'Proms in the Park'. Set in the walled garden in the beautiful grounds of the Hall Park, the music will be provided by The Rushden Town Band playing all the favourites such as Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and Jerusalem accompanied by local singers.

Please bring your own champagne, picnic, chairs and rugs.

Gates Open: 6.00pm
Start: 7.00pm

Tickets £5.00 on the Gate (Including Free Union Flag)

The dog show - Bark in the Park - will be held in the Walled Garden, Hall Park, Rushden. This is our Mayor's charity dog show and all proceeds will be split between all the dog charities attending. We have 'have a go agility', various dog classes including golden oldies, Mayor's choice, Rushden's Finest etc. Fun for all.

Come and join all the fun of the fair in Rushden.

The Mayor of Rushden will officially open the Rushden Feast on Friday 14th September 2018.

Assembling at the Dodgem cars for 6.30pm, a short service will be conducted by Rev Ben Lewis, before the fair is officially opened.

Bernard Vann VC Memorial Day

Bernard William Vann was born on the 9th July 1887 and went on to serve in WW1. He died in 1918.

The Rushden Branch of the Royal British Legion would like to invite you to a Parade and Service, at the Rushden War Memorial, at 12.00 noon, on Saturday 29th September, for the unveiling of the Pavestone in honour of our towns Victory Cross recipient Lieutenant Colonel The Reverend Bernard William Vann VC MC & Bar from WW1.

Following the service the parade will march to Rushden Hall Park for light refreshments. Performances will be held in Hall Park from the world renowned Brentwood Imperial Youth Band, the Northampton Male Voice Choir and then the Drama Students from Rushden Academy depicting life in the trenches of WW1.

After the service it is intended to hold a 24 hour vigil by members of the RBL and members of the public, school children cadets etc. If you are interested in standing a watch over this period then please step forward with contact details.
