On the 15th September 2020 at the Annual General Meeting of Rushden Town Council, Cllr Mrs Melanie Coleman was elected as Town Mayor for 2020 – 2021, and her husband, Cllr David Coleman, was named as Mayor's Consort.

On Sunday 13th September the Town Mayor, Cllr Cesare Marinaro, completed a Charity Sky Dive at the Hinton Skydive Centre in Brackley.
This being Cllr Marinaro's last Mayoral event, the Sky Dive has raised in excess of £3,880.00.

Please be advised that Highways England will be carrying out overnight closures of the A45 / A6 Chowns Mill junction over the coming weeks.

On the 3rd of September, Patrick and Ann Savage of Newton Road celebrated their Blue Sapphire Wedding Anniversary!

Today we are flying the Red Ensign at the cenotaph, in honour of Merchant Navy Day 2020.
Merchant Navy Day is dedicated to honour the brave men and women who kept the 'island nation' afloat during both World Wars and for the modern seafarers who are responsible for UK imports.

New tool to increase recycling in East Northants launches
