We are pleased to announce that two phone boxes in Rushden have been transformed into life saving defibrillators.
The new defibrillators have been installed inside unused phone boxes, one on Haddon Close, off Barnwell Drive and another on Upper Queen Street, opposite the Premier shop.

From today, Rushden, Higham Ferrers and Wellingborough will host a Voi e-scooter trial, giving its residents a new, green, accessible and socially distanced way of travel, particularly useful for journeys from one to three miles.

Rushden Town Council are working closely with East Northants Council and local residents in Glenfield Close, Rushden to help identify potential dog fouling offenders.

Highways England reminds Drivers planning essential journeys this weekend to allow extra time if planning to travel through the A45/A6 Chowns Mill junction in Northamptonshire.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we've postponed this weekend's full closure of the A45/A6 Chowns Mill roundabout.
Next weekend's closures will still go ahead as planned.

We're working hard to complete the A45 Chowns Mill Improvement work as safely and quickly as possible. Work is progressing well and we remain on track to complete the work by Winter 2021/2022.
