Northamptonshire Highways are requiring to close a section of Greenway cycle track in Rushden. The closure is to allow the construction on a new ramp near Midland Road. The closure will be from Asda to Paddock Road and is due to commence on the 28th February until the 13th April 2022.

PROJECTS SUITABLE FOR THE 'LEVELLING UP FUND' URGED TO COME FORWARD

A new date has been set for Cllr Mrs Melanie Coleman's 'It's My Life Panto' on Friday 25th March 2022.
The Panto will now take place at Highfield Road Community Church, Highfield Road, Rushden, with two performances at 3.30pm and 7.00pm.
The Panto was originally scheduled for the 10th December, but unfortunately had to be postponed due to heating issues and Covid.

We are pleased to report that Northamptonshire Highways has reinstated the road markings (yellow lines/loading bay markings) in the High Street and that Parking Enforcement Officers will now be able to take action against any illegal parking.

2021 Play Equipment Overview
Last year, Rushden Town Council installed several new pieces of play equipment in our parks, including; a table tennis area and zip-wire in Spencer Park, plus a brand new toddlers play area in Melloway Park, which includes a seesaw, set of swings and a slide.
Throughout 2022, we will continue to enhance our play areas as part of our on-going Improvements Programme.

Monday to Friday next week (10 – 14 January) we'll be working nights (8pm to 5am) to carry out final planting around the Chowns Mill junction.
