Vandalism within our parks and open spaces
Sadly we have recently experienced several acts of mindless vandalism within our parks and open spaces.As you can see from these photos, this includes… damage to the multi play unit at Ascot Road, damage to the newly installed mural at Spencer Park Pavilion and most shockingly, damage to the accessible toilets at Spencer Park. We've also experienced a lot of bin fires and smashed glass bottles.... Read More »

Mayor Attends Re-Opening of Rushden Museum
On Saturday 7th May the Town Mayor, Cllr Mrs Melanie Coleman, attended the official re-opening of Rushden Museum and had the honour of cutting the ribbon.
The Mayor made these comments, "It was a pleasure to attend the long awaited re-opening of this little gem. "I had great fun starting the Jubilee mosaic."

7 Day Emergency Road Closure, Higham Road, Rushden
Information received today
I have received an emergency road closure from Anglian Water for Higham Road, Rushden.
The road will be closed for seven days from 4th May 2022 for burst main repairs.
Please see attached a plan showing the extent of the closure and the proposed diversion route.

Mobile Speed Indication Devices for Rushden
After a lengthy consultation, we have now identified 34 sites in Rushden where we can position SID signs (Speed Indication Devices). Rushden Town Council has now purchased 4 mobile signs and we will be placing these in various locations throughout the town to help monitor speeding and road safety.
