Equipping the high street for COVID-19 safety

Equipping the high street for COVID-19 safety

As a part of our continuing support for the phased reopening of the high street, we took our gazebo into town to distribute social distancing floor stickers and posters. The uptake from businesses was excellent and the response was encouraging.

We will continue to monitor local authority and government advice, acting in accordance, on ways to help shops and businesses reopen safely, making the shopping experience better and safer for everyone.

Hand sanitising stations have now been installed within the town in the following locations;

Duck Street Public Toilets

Newton Road Public Toilets

Orchard Place Car Park (towards the entrance to the high street from the car park)

Sassy Belle shop front (along the high street)

Asda (the old Railway Bridge before the front entrance)
