Reopening Rushden - High Street shops visited by the Town Mayor

It was great to see a bustling Rushden high street today, in the sunshine (busy, but not too busy), with smiles on the faces of both retailers and shoppers, Salons full of relieved clients, Barbers with queues, gym goers ready to train before doors open and youngsters looking jolly as they are able to browse new clothing trends.

Town Mayor, Cllr Melanie Coleman spent the morning welcoming back businesses who have been sorely missed within the town, including;

In Bloom florist and gift shop

Jonathan Brown Hairdressing

Crystelle Belle jewellery shop

Anytime Fitness Rushden gym

P.W.House jewellery shop

Select Fashion Rushden clothing store

Blue Corner Cafe - who were trialling out some new outdoor seating

and Housewives Choice.

The Mayor paid a visit to the The Rose And Crown Rushden where they were busy getting ready for their big reopening in May and she also gave her congratulations to Alco Taxis new management team and praised them for their investment in the newly refurbished premises.

The Mayor will be back down the high street and surrounding areas on Wednesday morning, so please feel free to email us if you'd like to arrange a visit for your shop: mayor@rushdentowncouncil.gov.uk

Thank you to shoppers who have been superb in adhering to social distancing measures and wearing their masks etc...Enjoy your town centre.
