Town Mayor shares words of condolence and Public condolence arrangements

STATEMENT FROM TOWN MAYOR, CLLR MELANIE COLMAN:

Rushden Town Council join with people across the country and globe in sharing their sadness of the passing of the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The Flags at the War Memorial and Hall Park have been lowered to half mast in a mark of respect.

Unfortunately, due to updated Government guidelines, we have been advised not to create a physical Book of Condolence for HHR Prince Philip. However, condolences can be made through https://www.royal.uk

If anyone wishes to lay flowers, these are to be placed at the War Memorial. We anticipate the mourning period to be eight days.

On behalf of the community of Rushden we send our deepest condolences, to her Majesty The Queen and members of The Royal Family.
