Rushden community join together at vigil in support of Ukraine

Yesterday evening, the Rushden community came together to show their support for the people of Ukraine at a candle-lit vigil organised by Rushden Town Council.

The event was held at Rushden Cenotaph where the Ukrainian flag was flying at full mast. Touching speeches and prayers were made by Town Mayor, Cllr Melanie Coleman, Civil Celebrant, Sue Homer and Rev Dr Linnet Smith. Members of the community laid candles in the garden of remembrance.

Thank you to all who attended.
