Rushden Town Council host successful Business Networking Event

Rushden Town Council hosted its first business networking event at Rushden Hall, supported by North Northamptonshire Council and The Welcome Back Fund.

A variety of Rushden businesses attended, to network and to listen to a talk given by Ruth Roan of Building Business Consultancy, on business support within North Northamptonshire.

Councillors and council staff were there to answer queries and to help signpost attendees to business support provided by local authorities and organisations.

Cllr Philip Humphrey, Leader of the Business Working Party said, " The business networking breakfast's are a great starting point for engagement that will give us the opportunity to outline some future initiatives, such as the up date to our Neighbourhood Plan, and for the Town Council and local businesses to get to know each other better.

"Rushden has a thriving business community, which we are keen to support and promote, however we can.

"We have already developed a Business App, with over 600 Rushden businesses and organizations listed."

Hayley Wills, attendee at the RTC business networking breakfast made these comments,

"Just wanted to say thank you for inviting me and putting on an amazing breakfast!

"I had the opportunity to mix with lots of people and gained some contacts as well as some wonderful advice from Ruth who I'll be in touch with for support on business grants! (Never knew I could apply for things like that)"
