Rushden to Observe Remembrance Day with a Series of Events and Annual Parade

Rushden Town Council, in collaboration with the Royal British Legion Rushden Branch, invites the community to join in a series of events to commemorate Remembrance Day. The activities will honour those who have served and continue to serve in the Armed Forces, with special services and the traditional annual parade.

Wednesday, 6th November 2024
Garden of Remembrance Service for Schools
The Royal British Legion (Rushden) Branch will host a Dedication Ceremony at 10:45am at the Rushden War Memorial and Garden of Remembrance. This event provides an opportunity for local schools to participate in paying tribute to those who have served.

• Location: Rushden War Memorial and Garden of Remembrance
• Details: The Royal British Legion (Rushden) Branch will hold a Dedication Ceremony, offering local schools the opportunity to participate in honouring those who served.

Sunday, 10th November 2024
Remembrance Day Parade & Service
The parade will assemble at 10:15am outside Rushden Hall, Hall Park, and proceed to the War Memorial. A commemorative service will follow, including the laying of wreaths and a two-minute silence at 11:00am. The ceremony will then continue at St Mary's Church at 11:15am.
All members of the public are invited to join in this traditional event, which unites the community in honouring the sacrifices of the Armed Forces.

• Continued Service: 11:15am, St Mary's Church

Armistice Day Silence
Rushden will join the nation in observing a two-minute silence at 11:00am to remember and honour our Armed Forces community, past and present. This act of remembrance will be held at the Rushden War Memorial.
