Today at Rushden Hall, past Mayor Cllr Cesare Marinaro, and his wife Sabina, presented a cheque for £10,933.00 to Yvonne Mackintosh, of Teenage Cancer Trust, from monies raised during his Mayoral Year 2019 - 2020. Unfortunately the Covid pandemic has meant the presenting of these monies has been delayed.

On the 15th September 2020 at the Annual General Meeting of Rushden Town Council, Cllr Mrs Melanie Coleman was elected as Town Mayor for 2020 – 2021, and her husband, Cllr David Coleman, was named as Mayor's Consort.
Due to Covid-19 a Deputy Mayor will not be elected for 2020 - 2021; the role will be fulfilled by a member of Rushden Town Council, when required.

On Sunday 13th September the Town Mayor, Cllr Cesare Marinaro, completed a Charity Sky Dive at the Hinton Skydive Centre in Brackley.
This being Cllr Marinaro's last Mayoral event, the Sky Dive has raised in excess of £3,880.00.

Great News, the Hinton Skydive Centre in Brackley has informed us that the Mayor's Charity Skydive, which was postponed back in April due to Covid-19, has now been rescheduled to take place on Sunday 13th September 2020. Unfortunately due to the current pandemic spectators are not permitted.
