Rushden Celebrates the Coronation
The sun shone warmly and a large crowd of the local community celebrated the Coronation on Sunday in the Walled Garden, Hall Park. Families brought along picnic's and enjoyed brass band music from the Rushden Town Band whilst Beat Route Radio provided extra entertainment. National Emergency Alerts - Sunday 23rd April 2023 at 15:00pm
There will be a national test of the UK's new Emergency Alerts system on Sunday April 23rd at 15:00.
The test alert will be sent to most mobile phones across the UK. Devices will make a distinct, siren-like sound for up to 10 seconds, including on phones switched to silent mode. Council Mourns loss of Clive Wood
Councillors and staff were greatly saddened by the sudden loss of Clive Wood who passed away on Wednesday 29th March 2023.
Clive, had been a member of Rushden Town Council since it was formed in 2000, until 2015. Clive was the first Town Mayor of Rushden and retained this role from 2000-2002. He was well known and highly respected throughout the town, where he was ward member for the Spencer ward.

This offers FREE travel for people with a concessionary (older and disabled people) bus pass

Commonwealth Day Flag Raising
On Monday 13th March 2023 the Town Mayor, Cllr Adrian Winkle, Rushden Town Councillors and members of the community attended a short service at the War Memorial in Rushden, to observe Commonwealth Day.
The Mayor read the Commonwealth Affirmation and the Commonwealth flag was raised to celebrate 56 countries nurturing friendship and co-operation around the world.
