Rushden's minute’s silence and vigil on the eve of Queen's funeral
The minute's silence and vigil on the eve of the funeral at the War Memorial, Rushden.
This was a respectful and moving tribute to Queen Elizabeth II and we would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make this a memorable occasion. We would also like to thank Rev Tom King for a lovely service held at St Mary's Church, prior to the vigil.

John Scarrott Funfair closed for Queen's Funeral
***NOTICE***Under national guidance John Scarrott and Sons Funfair will go ahead at Spencer Park, Rushden. However, As a mark of respect for Her Majesty The Queen, the fair will close at 7.30pm on Sunday evening (18th September) it will remain closed on Monday 19th for the funeral and reopen on Tuesday 20th September.

Proclamation - Sunday 11th September
The Mayor of Rushden, Cllr Adrian Winkle will make the town declaration of the accession of His Majesty King Charles III at the War Memorial in Rushden tomorrow (Sunday 11 September) at 4.30pm.
The reading will follow national proclamations as well as the County proclamation on the same day.

Expresslines withdrawing Rushden and Higham Link bus service

We have recently been advised by Northamptonshire Highways that unfortunately, Expresslines will be withdrawing their Rushden and Higham Link bus service as of Saturday 24th September.
We are hoping for the service to be reinstated and that a contract will be going out for tender to ascertain if another bus operator would be prepared to take the service over.... Read More »
