Rushden Celebrates with the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

On the 6th February this year, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking her 70 year reign serving the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives will take place nationally throughout the year, including a four-day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June. The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen's 70 years of service.

Rushden is playing its part in celebrating this special year which honours HM The Queen's 70-year reign.

We are pleased to bring you events over the four-day UK bank holiday weekend (Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June) to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee as well as an extended 'Celebrate Rushden' annual programme of events (this year, Saturday 28 May to Sunday 12 June).

On offer is a diverse selection of events and activities for all ages promoting many of the town's clubs, groups and societies as well as band concerts organised by the Town Council. Most events are free (except where stated) for everyone to enjoy.
