Rushden's SOAPBOX DERBY 2022

Rushden Town Council is thrilled to announce that the Soap Box Derby will be taking place this summer as part of the extended two week 'Rushden Celebrates' line-up in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

There are opportunities for both children and adults, with entry classes; 6-11 years, 12-16 years and 17 years plus and up to 2 drivers permitted per Soap Box. So if you and your team think you have what it takes to become a Soap Box Derby Champion of 2022, You can download an entry form along with the Rules and Regulations here and start designing your winning Kart.

The course starts on the tarmac path in Rushden Hall Park and consists of a downhill section,
then a right turn onto a downhill slope on a grass surface towards the finish line.
All competing karts, drivers and pushers must arrive in the pits from 12.30 pm for scrutinising.
Judging takes place at 1.30 pm. The first race will start at 2.00 pm prompt.
