Rushden's largest park, Hall Park, is a 34-acre (13-hectare) site that includes a walled garden. The site has been in public use since 1931 and was previously owned by several wealthy local families.
Rushden Hall, the oldest domestic building in Rushden, dates back to the 14th century and is located within the grounds of Hall Park. Both the park and Rushden Hall are significant landmarks in the town, offering much-loved and well-used community facilities for all.
Although Hall Park has been a public park for many years, it is easy to imagine how it must have looked when Rushden Hall was a family home. The park has not been overly remodeled, and the ridge and furrow of the land, shaped after enclosure in 1778, remains clearly visible. The carriage drive and tree-lined avenue leading to the Hall are still intact, giving visitors a sense of stepping back in time as they walk from the entrance at High Street South to the entrance at Hall Avenue
