The Annual General Meeting and Mayor Making of Rushden Town Council was held on the evening of Tuesday 13^th May 2025, and we are delighted to announce the election of the Town Mayor for the Civic Year 2025 - 2026:-

Mayor's Cadet: Ordinary Cadet Amelie from Rushden Sea Cadets

A Message from the Mayor;

It is a great honour and privilege to be selected once again to be the Town Mayor of Rushden. I last held this post in 2009 - 2010.

I am looking forward to meeting lots of people across the Town and to supporting the events they are organising. As a founder member of Rushden Town Council in 2000, it never ceases to amaze me what sterling voluntary work goes on across the Town. I am looking forward to promoting Rushden across the broader area as I attend Civic events in other towns.

I hope to see you at the wonderful events organised by the Town Council: Party in the Park, Soapbox Derby etc, as well as the Proms in the Park. This last event has a special place in my heart, as I instigated it when I was Mayor previously.

My chosen charities are RUSH 2The DEN and Rushden & District Community Charity. I hope you will support my fundraising efforts for good causes.
